It is true we have some very fine parks in Glendale- Brand, Verdugo, Maple are just a few.

Scattered throughout, however, are these adorable pocket parks that provide a bit of open space and a place for the elders to gather and socialize.

This one is at Elk and Everett, just below Colorado. It is pindrop clean and very attractive.

As a commited suburban-ite I rarely get to appreciate the features of downtown. When I was a kid, nice people didn't go downtown.

Thankfully, this has really changed over the years and downtown is now "cool".

This amazing fountain has certainly been around for decades, located between the Kenneth Hahn building and some other stately structure. Enter the plaza on Hill or Grand between Temple and First.

The entire plaza surrounding this fountain is lined with blooming Jacaranda and Coral Trees. Magical.

Folks, I have the honor of serving jury duty today. I am in a huge room on the eleventh floor of the criminal court house In downtown L.A. The buildings, here, are phenominal. This the view from my corner of the assembly room.

I have free WiFi (thank you, criminal justice system!), great cell reception, (woot AT&T), so it is mostly business as usual.

No knitting. (boo, double hiss).
